ARTIST STATEMENT:

When I was 18 years old I went to Italy to study, I lived near my school in Lake Como, I opened my window and saw the Alps, the snow capped mountains aroused my interest, but I didn't go there until I left Italy, but luckily I climbed the dolomites, I was watching the sunset and thought it looked like a huge orange slice, it made a deep impact on me!

So for this assignment I decided to recreate the scene I was in and literally replace the sun with an orange, it was amazing!

The birds of prey above me were sadly not birds I saw at the time, but I did see them on the hillside, so I made up for it by adding two birds of prey

TITLE:snowy mountain wanderings

(Attach your Youtube video here)

The story in the video is that I climbed the heavy snow mountain, the snow mountain is the obstacle in front of me, the constant movement highlights the difficulty of the climb, the huge orange spinning in the sky, is the sunset is also the sweetness of the success of the climb, I wave my hands to celebrate the victory, the sky flying birds are also celebrating for me!

Material used (own photos and pin-ups)
PS keying and stitching the footage together
I use ae because all parts of my screen are changeable, so I change all the background material, the characters plus the puppet manipulation

REFLECTION:

Experienceit was fun for me to follow the teacher's tutorial step by step

OBSERVATION: When using Adobe After Effects, I found its powerful animation and visual effects capabilities to be able to combine static images and video elements to create dynamic visual effects. This flexibility allows me to apply multiple techniques to different projects!

Findings : Gradually realised that design is not only about aesthetic presentation, but also about problem-solving mindset, and that design is an iterative and optimisation process.
